A little over a month back, the Moose celebrated his birthday.
For the first time in his life, he had cake with frosting. I had planned to make it from scratch, but since we were out of town and I really didn’t want to haul all the ingredients across the state, I cheated and bought a GF/DF mix.
Ironically, most of the frostings on the baking aisle are GF/DF. They’re also “RIF”, meaning “Real-Ingredient-Free” – the labels read like a mad chemistry experiment. But, since this was a one-time thing, I decided to just Do It and Deal With It.
The Moose approved.
In fact, he’s been begging for cake ever since. Happily, my extremely pregnant state has made it easy to turn him down. Sorry, kid – Mama can’t hardly get the salad made, let alone bake a cake.
He also got some of his favorite things. Too many to hold in both hands, actually. So he has made another New Startling Discovery.
Pockets.
My washing machine may never be the same.
Long Live the Moose!
P.S. – If the pictures in this post come up teeny-tiny, try clicking on one and then back-click to the blog. It seems to fix the problem. I don’t know why it’s happening, but that’s how to fix it…

“The Moose approved.” I lol’d
RIF … hahaahah!!!!
And .. he’s HUGE.
I think it’s a self-defense mechanism to keep his older siblings from taking his toys. Once he outgrows them, watch out!
